Fall is just around the corner and after that – it’s the holiday season, the most magical time of the year! Once you’re ready to wave goodbye to summer, why not welcome in the new season with some new season home décor? There’s nothing like a few new additions to get your home feeling ready for the new season – and the great news is, you don’t have to spend a fortune to add some stylish new homewares to your space. Read on for our top tips…

  1. Use candles

Scented candles are a quick, cheap and effortless way to make the transition to fall and they make your home smell wonderful to boot. This is also a very budget friendly option – simply choose a few fall-scented candles to dot through your home. Look out for scents such as cinnamon, apple, pumpkin and cookie dough.

  1. Add flowers

Fresh flowers are always a great way to decorate the home and for fall, there’s the opportunity to really get creative. Rather than big summer blooms, look for evergreens and decorative twigs or, create a wreath (this is a great craft project for kids) with foraged items. Use them to decorate your table settings, hang on your front door or trail around the edges of a mantelpiece or mirror. If you add pine cones to decorate, you’ll also get a wonderfully fall scent gently permeating the room.

  1. Introduce a few strategically placed decorative trays

We source our homewares from artisans in Asia, which means that we can offer superior quality, individuality and value for money. Our unique decorative trays can be used to hold knick-knacks, candles, collectibles or even vases of flowers. Use them to add an interesting new visual element to your home and offset the change of the seasons by swapping out the items you place on them for something different each season. We’re proud to be able to offer such great value items and think these beautiful trays are something you’ll treasure for years to come.

  1. Invest in new soft furnishings

As you know, we’re all about making your budget go further so trust us to know one great money saving yet impactful tip – you can make your space feel entirely new by simply changing one thing; your soft furnishings. Try swapping out your summery curtains and lighter cushions for more fall tones, complete with cost throws. It doesn’t cost a fortune and if you’re crafty, you can even create your own cushion covers rather than buying new.
